Main Wall Colour
I think you should paint your walls, ceilings and trim a soft white throughout all of your main areas, basement and office. Grab a sample of each of these options and test them in several areas to see what one would work best. Painting everything white will freshen everything up and give you the perfect backdrop for decorating your space. Powder Room
I love the idea of a simple floral wallpaper in this space, here our a couple peel and stick options that would look beautiful.
Suggestions
Remove border tile if possible
Replace the mirror with a vintage find and if the tile is removed you could hang it a little closer to the pedestal sink
Add two shelves above the toilet, you could add wire baskets to fill with extra toilet paper and rolled towels, then you could add a vintage print, I love digital download like this one you can pick up a frame from Michaels or check out our local thrift stores for vintage frames.
Replace existing hardware with a long towel bar and toilet paper holder maybe in a matte black finish. Then you can add beautiful linen hand towels
Kitchen

I think that you might like your cabinets a lot more once your walls are painted white. You will have to test the three white paint colours I suggested above against your cabinets to see what one compliments your cabinets the best.
I did look into painting your cabinets and it can be done, I have used Fusion paint many times and it is a really great product for cabinets and furniture. Here is a link to an article on how to paint melamine or laminate cabinets.
I pulled the inspirational photos on the left from your Pinterest board and I think that you could paint your cabinets a beautiful blue either just your base cabinets or all of your cabinets. I selected blue/green colours to work with your existing floor in the kitchen.

You could also use Benjamin Moore paint they have a system called Advanced and it works on laminate and melamine cabinets, you can read more about that here.

Hang stacked art where clock is currently
Hang larger shelves where the smaller shelf is now, I would try and find shelves that run the length of that wall. I would get two shelves and stack one on top of each other may be leaving 15 inches between the shelves. You could fill the shelves with stacked bowels, canisters, plants filled with herbs.
The other option in that area would be to hang these bars to hooks to create a pot rack area.
Stairway
Living Room / Dining Room
One suggestion I have is to paint the railing all black. Tremclad has a metal paint that comes in black and would update that railing without too much work. Between that and painting all of the walls white both will really freshen this area up.
I also thought this might be an easy area to add shiplap on this stair wall. It would add texture and interest.
Suggestions
Paint all your walls the same white that will carry throughout your home.
You could whitewash the brick, here is a blog on how to do that but I don’t mind your brick as it is.
Here is a blog post I wrote quite a while ago on how to style your mantel, it will give you some ideas on what you put there. I think your cabinet with the television will go beside the fireplace.
Your large sectional will fill most of this space but you can make it cozy by adding lots of pillows, adding in the blue will carry the colour from the kitchen into here. You can add in lots of plain linen pillows to fill the large sofa with some patterned pillows added in.
Hang curtain rods at the ceiling, it will make the ceiling appear taller. I think white curtain panels and black rods would work perfectly.
Switching out the chandelier to something like this will help create that modern farmhouse look you love.
Add in your beautiful plants, warm wood accessories and it will look great.
I also thought these fern prints would work really well printed at 24 x 36 inches and hung above your sectional would look great.
Master Bedroom And Bath
Paint Colour Suggestions
You could either paint your bedroom the same white that you select for the rest of your areas or warm it up and paint it a cream for a cozy feel. Make sure to check the colour against the carpet. I also thought this light would work perfectly in your space ( I can’t tell if you have an overhead light in this room) and you could add in lots of plants and warm accessories.
Bathroom Wallpaper And Paint
I found this beautiful paper that would tie in your floor tile with the brown stems and I pulled a green tone from the paper that I thought you could paint your vanity cabinets.
Your Daughters Room
I thought a pale blue would work really well with your daughter’s bedspread and her gallery prints.
Main Bathroom
I would add some of the suggestions that I mentioned about your powder room here as well. Finding a larger vintage mirror maybe in brass would be a nice focal point above the vanity.
