Alternative Floor Plan

I wanted to play around with your floorplan, this option could work as well and would allow you to add two accent chairs. You would need a larger area rug, I have shown a 9x12 on the below plan and the other issue it does cut off the view to the fireplace. You could always play around with your furniture now and see if this could work for you.

Black Paint For Fireplace

Option A

This option has the brick around your fireplace painted black. A cream swivel chair is paired with your existing sectional and coffee table. Rich textiles and a graphic area rug add lots of layers of interest and warmth. A new console table under your television will add storage and continue the black in another area of your room. Simple cleaned lined accessories finish off the look.

Option B

This option also has the brick painted out in a deep black tone. This time your existing sectional is paired with a more casual style chair with wood arms and a new black coffee table. A new rug with subtle tones of blues and greys sets the colour palate for the pillows and accessories. A new light wood-toned console table with baskets and drawers should keep everything organized. I added a look-a-like of the light fixture you loved from your inspirational photo but I can easily swap this out for a ceiling fan.
