Revised Under The Stairs Playroom
The three below options are a take on the whimsical option you liked but with more color. Let me know if your kids would like to see different accent colours than shown below. The wallpaper could go on just the ceiling and we can select a coordinating paint color for the walls or it can go all over. The floor tiles have endless options you can check them out here https://www.flor.com/

Revised Kitchenette
Option A
I think we can achieve the arch with ordering a plywood panel in the same cabinet finish. The wood shelf and open shelf would have to be made by your contractor or local craftsman.
Option B
On this option, I added another open shelf on the other side for symmetry
Option C
On this option the arch is removed and we have two option shelves. The small upper cabinet under the bulkhead can be achieved by using a 9 inch upper in a shorter height.
Elevation
For the base cabinet layout, I was thinking of the dishwasher on the left, and the humidifier on the right of the sink so that it could drain into the sink. Then the fridge beside, what are thoughts on that.
Kitchenette
We are going to start with the kitchenette design and then we can add the play area after. I have shown some ideas for the entrance to the playroom to get us thinking about how you would like that to look. I have shown all three options in the same soft greige color with wood accents, none of the stock cabinet companies have a nice wood tone cabinet that I think you would love. Let me know how you feel about going this route.
Below the three options, is a feedback form to let me know what you like and don’t like about the options. I have also added some links to some products for you to take a look at.
Option A
This option has a custom wood shelf under your bulkhead to fill that awkward space. The cabinets have two large pantries one will house your microwave and both will have pullouts for ease of use. Open wood shelves above the sink break up the cabinetry and add warmth. We are reusing your existing table, chairs(I don’t have a similar option in my 3D program) and your Katie Acron pendant. To have the standard cabinet uppers go the ceiling we will have to play around with the crown moulding. I have enquired with the companies we were considering and I am waiting to hear back with their ideas.
Option B
This option has the bulkhead continuing across the back wall, allowing the stock cabinets to go to the ceiling. I have two cabinets to counter flanking the long wood open shelf, one would house your microwave and they would give you lots of storage.
Option C
This option builds out the back wall to create a large arch along the back with a wood-open shelf. The issue with this design is where to put the microwave, I have added a shelf cabinet where your small appliances could go and extra food storage which could be placed in baskets. Once this space returns to just entertaining this could be all for display. I have shown a larger table with enough seating for all of you in this option so you can see which you prefer.

Let me know what you think of any of these cabinet door options

https://www.rtacabinetstore.com/RTA-Kitchen-Cabinets/gladwyne-slab This one is a bit warmer and lighter
https://www.cabinetjoint.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/Color-Guide-Bro.pdf I like the Heron Pewter and Hearthstone gray, just waiting to hear back if they paint the wood doors or just MDF
Here is an option for the wall vents https://www.homedepot.com/p/FITTES-Aria-Lite-Framed-Wall-Vent-4-in-x10-in-White-DWLITFR4X10WHT/321882375 which could then be painted out in the wall color we select, we will have to confirm that they come in the vent size you currently have
For the floors, I found this product https://www.homedepot.com/p/TrafficMaster-Oak-Knoll-8-mm-T-x-7-5-in-W-Water-Resistant-Laminate-Wood-Flooring-23-7-sqft-case-TM3/320120378?epik=dj0yJnU9UkJoVG5pY1Z2aTJEYk45Um8wR0FkUWNhTUVEV19Cam8mcD0wJm49bzVLQkMtVHVYaG9veG15V096VXpadyZ0PUFBQUFBR1lyek04#overlay which I thought has a nice look to it and it is rated Greenguard gold which you can read more about here https://www.ul.com/services/ul-greenguard-certification
Playroom
I have already started planning the playroom but I wanted to run by a few ideas I had. I don’t know if we can fit a door and a window in that area but we can still create a cute entrance. I found this inspiration(shown above), let me know what you think of it. We don’t need to add the cedar shakes but we could simplify the design.
Inside we could add some floor cushions and lots of pillows to make a comfy reading and hang-out area. Here are some cushions I have been looking at. We can add wall ledges for books and frames to display artwork. I like the idea of painting the steps in different colours are you drawn to soft shades in here or bolder colors? We could panelling, wallpaper or paint.
