Square Bead Board Hood With Simple Island Post
Option A- Island
This option has your cooktop and double ovens as well as an island. I played around with the layout quite a bit trying to see what would work, it is tricky adding an island with all of the openings into the room. The nice thing is it will give you a small cabinet and a nice-sized counter for working on, or a place to lay out food when entertaining. As well as a spot to have breakfast or dinner for two. I have added a cabinet with an appliance garage below to the right of the sink in with glass doors down in a warm wood tone. The island and the hood are done in wood as well. The bulkheads would be painted the same colour as the cabinets with crown moulding added to finish them off. We would have them built out for the deeper fridge, pantry and oven cabinets.
Option B - Peninsula
This option has a large 36” gas range but there isn’t room for a cooktop and separate oven. The peninsula would give you a larger counter space to work on or for entertaining. I have also moved the pantry to the right side of the sliding doors. This option has glass doors on either side of the stove for a nice focal point from the family room, I have still added an appliance garage but it is tucked in beside the fridge cabinet. All of the base cabinets are in a beautiful warm wood tone with white uppers. Again in this design, all of the bulkheads are painted out with crown moulding with the cabinet going to the top of them.
